The positive side of technology

People respond to technology predictably, if something looks interesting enough then people are compelled to click on it. According to my research people misuse technology more often than not, but it is just a learning process. People have to learn to see the positive productive and time saving side of technology rather than the negative lose me in the internet side. Every day we take for granted how good technology is at saving time as said in  “Technology Can Save Us Time, But Are We Spending Those Extra Hours Well?”  it can plan out the day, allow people to stay in touch, or as transportation to get from point A to point B faster. Also technology allows for a less stressful day because of the variety of apps that help people be more productive throughout the day. Forbes magazine writer Mark Harris shared all the apps that he found to be most effective when it came to improving time management in his article “5 Best Apps for Getting and Staying Organized”.  People feel the need to access that negative side of technology when they are bored and say “I can do it later,” but it never ends up happening because they get lost in the internet. An article from the New Zealand Herald explains in their article “Smart Ways To Tackle Time” that people lose the battle when it comes to controlling themselves and it is very counterproductive. Technology allows for people to do things quicker, whether it be creating graphs or finishing a project, technology is always there to make things a lot easier. Writer Amanda Kooser states in her article “How Does Technology Improve Business?” that having the ability to stay in touch with people that are part of a group project is very efficient and allows for people to use their time more efficiently. Technology is not a device that tears apart a schedule or reduces the efficiency of people, rather it is something way more positive than that when it is used correctly. So many things can be done in a smaller amount of time and it allows for people to enjoy their lives because they can do other things besides work all day. Overall I believe that with some slight adjustments anybody can become a master of time management and use technology the way it was meant to be used, to save time.
