ECONOMIC PRINCIPLE:  People gain when they trade voluntarily.

THESIS (CONNECT ECONOMIC PRINCIPLE WITH YOUR ANSWER TO YOUR RESEARCH QUESTION): The rush of adrenaline is what keeps the thrill of people going on a daily basis. People and players engage in the sport of football because of the exciting yet violent plays and hits. Although the thrill is exhilarating, the outcome of these hits are more than fatal, yet we continue to feed off others danger.

SYNTHESIS PARAGRAPH:
Snap, crackle pop. The sport of football has caught the attention of America’s sports fanatics and has overtaken the popularity of AMerica’s pastime, baseball. But why has that happened? Here, to be simple, the plays, scores and tackles. We all love a great 45 yard interception and a SAC, but, do we really understand the seriousness of what the rough plays outcomes are? Dr. Bennet Omalu. A forensic pathologist, Omalu conducted the autopsy of Pittsburgh Steelers center Mike Webster, which led to his discovery of a new disease that he named chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE. Massive hits and tackles over time and especially with consistent hits and blows to the brain, cause the interlobe of the cranial cavity to soften, and the tissue that protects the brain from the skull is slowly deteriorating. This is where CTE falls into place, over time, after the brain has endured so many hits, the tissue is worn away and leaving the brain open to this disease. CTE causes insomnia, schizophrenia, Bi- polar disorder, PTSD, etc. bout 324, former NFL players have been diagnosed with this disease, for example Mike Webster who played for Pittsburgh  Steelers, went insane and killed himself. He had complained of, voices in his head and seeing things that weren't really there. You might say, “But wait?”, how do we know if that was really caused by this disease. ALl players who have been diagnosed, endured more than 4 concussions , at least 2 severe throughout their career as NFL athletes and have no prior, self or family history of mental disorders that they were complaining of. The scientists that were hired by the NFL, after the public was addressed the problem of severe ongoing concussions, said in a statement, simply that CTE is not caused by the sport of football and that there is no possible way that any player, with the helmets they wear could develop such a disorder. However, the NFL didn't want them to quit and lose fans. They wanted to be so precise and lie to their fans until they believed every word that the NFL wanted them to hear. This sport is extremely dangerous and I don't think the fans understand the severity of the game and the possible life threatening risks that trail it all for our satisfaction.
