Should the BPL implement a playoff?

The economic side of the BPL playoff would help many teams drastically. If the BPL changed it's season into a regular season, then that would be able to determine the seeding as the playoffs come. They could do the seeding many different ways, they could have the one and two seeds get a pass onto the next round and have then play the winner of the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth teams. Another way they could do it is to have it like a normal eight team bracket. Winners move on.

This playoff would spark some extra cash for teams if they were in the top eight of the league. This could be a huge revenue and payday because playoff games are generally very expensive and people are willing to pay for these tickets. This would reenergize some fans groups. Especially the teams that are in eighth place it could restart the clubs mentality and could help the players as well. As said in a forbes article "Secondly, such a playoff could be used to shore up the financial solvency of teams looking to spend a bit beyond their current means to earn a fourth place position and a lucky chance at winning a Premier League title." This means that teams would be more likely to spend more money to earn a higher place in the league. When teams spend more money, more talent is brought to the league and that in turn also brings in more revenue. A playoff would be a smart move economically for the BPL.
