Should the BPL impliment a playoff?

Source: http://sports.re-publish.com/

In the BPL, there is a promotion and relegation system that has proved to be very enticing and motivating for teams. As explained in my last blog post, team would get relegated for their bad play in the top league. This proves very motivating because in the top leagues, the best teams get rewarded for their performance and the bottom teams get demoted by their lack of performance.

In sports fans love an underdog story. In the BPL there is not a lot of room for this type of play to happen so clubs like Manchester United (clubs that have the most money) are able to dominate the league. These clubs with the most money are able to dominate by acquiring the worlds best talent in their youth academy and on their team by buying players for prices other teams can't. So because of this, the big clubs win the league and it becomes pretty repetitive. If a playoff was implemented, this would allow for that "fairytale" story to occur because it would create an atmosphere similar to march madness. One game where the team has to show up on any given day and pull out the win.
