We live in an era that is dominated by technology, considering there is nothing to change that, using it to benefit oneself instead of an escape from reality is where most people fall short. Technology is an amazing thing, but it can either help or hinder one's ability to manage time. People have created apps that will help organize the day and make completing tasks easier. These apps are great for reminders, but are not addictive to use so using them will not cause people to waste their time.
Forbes magazine writer Mark Harris has compiled a list of the best apps to use when managing time. Getting Things Done created by David Allen breaks down tasks into chunks and makes a list of what has to get done and when. Slash Digital Distractions created by Rescue Time allows the user to track every time a new window gets switched to, the next day the computer will bring up graphs and tables will show the user how much time they spend doing things, it also highlights the most productive days and weeks. These apps are extremely useful and help show the user the best ways to use their time effectively.Future Research- How can technology increase productivity?
