Harsh Chemicals on the Skin

http://www.theworld-aroundus.com

Skin is your bodies largest organ, so why would you apply harsh chemicals to your skin? Kirsten Hudson, a blogger on Organic Authority, believes in using organic products on the skin and avoiding chemical products. She argues that people should switch from a chemically filled product to one that is all natural because it's better for your skin and better for the environment. Organic Authority is website that offers different articles on organic recipes and healthy products for cosmetic use. Kirsten Hudson is one of the bloggers who wrote about why organic beauty products are better.

Taking care of your body is important inside and out. You wouldn't want to feed your body processed chemically filled foods, so why would you want to do the same to your skin? Applying creams and lotions filled with chemicals is not only bad for your skin but is bad for the environment. By using organic products you “ help minimize your environmental impact” and you are helping your skin. When you apply a face wash to your skin, you have to rinse off the product. When you rinse off the products, you are washing “ chemicals going down the drain” . When you use an organic face wash instead, you aren't washing those chemicals down the drain.

Most skin products that contain chemicals are harsh and worsen skin. Neutrogena provides a line of products that are grapefruit scented. The fragrance in the products can “ cause irritation and even trigger allergic reactions” (Kirsten Hudson). From a personal experience, I know that products containing fragrance have caused my skin to breakout more or have even caused allergic reactions and irritated skin. When I have used face washes by Neutrogena, My skin feels tight and dry afterward. However, when I use an organic face wash, my skin isn't dry. The more chemicals in the products, the worse it is for your skin. You wouldn't want to put chemicals that are harsh and worsen skin over time, so why do it? Switching to organic skin products can benefit the skin, and it won't dry out the skin, or cause allergic reactions the way Chemical packed products do.
